As we come closer to Phase 4, and the ability to reopen 4GK Martial Arts for onsite classes, we find ourselves faced with making a lot of decisions and changes to meet the various requirements set forth by the Governor. While many of our practices already meet or exceed current guidelines, our primary goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for our kids. With that in mind, there are a few additional changes we need to make.
While exact guidance has not yet been provided, we expect to be required to reduce capacity in our on-site classes. In order to maximize the projected space, and not have to raise prices to match supply and demand, we have decided to make some shifts in our schedule.
These shifts will allow us additional cleaning time as we disinfect between every single class. It will also reduce the number of people in the building at busy changeover times. As a bonus, the smaller classes will allow us to work more with each student as we help them readjust to a more social lifestyle.
We recognize that these changes may not be ideal for every family, so we do have some other options available on a case-by-case basis. If you absolutely cannot make the new schedule work for your family, please contact us so we can work it out.
These changes will take effect for both on-site and online martial arts classes as of July 13th.
Our mommy and me style martial arts class for toddlers 18 to 36 months, along with their guardians, will be held on Saturday afternoons at 12:45pm
Beginning Monday, July 13th, our Early Skillz program for preschoolers between 3 and 4 years of age will be held on weekday afternoons at 3:45pm, and on Saturday mornings at 10:00am.
Our Basic Skillz classes for kids between 5 and 6 years of age will be held weekday evenings at 4:30pm, as well as Saturday mornings at 10:45am.
Our martial arts program for 7 to 9-year-old kids, Core Skillz, will meet weekday evenings at 5:30pm, and on Saturdays at 11:45am
The tweens and teens in our Extreme Skillz martial arts program will meet on Mondays and Thursdays at 6:30pm
The advanced teens in our Elite Skillz programs will meet at 6:30pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Our adult martial arts and personal development classes will continue to meet on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:30pm, with additional classes to be added as restrictions on close personal contact are relaxed.
The STORM leadership team will continue to meet on the first and third Saturday of each month but will shift to 1:30pm
This new program for kids who want more advanced martial arts training will be added to the schedule on the second and fourth Saturday of the month at 1:30pm. This program, like STORM team, is invitation-only. Further info will be available shortly.
As we reopen, all virtual classes will be run in parallel with our onsite classes, creating a unique hybrid environment. Students who are not yet comfortable returning to the group training environment can continue attending our online classes. All scheduling changes will still apply.
If you have questions or need help making things work, please do not hesitate to reach out to the team. We are here to help!
